Yale Brown, President, IMS Ventures

Yale assists our portfolio companies with overall strategy, marketing and sales development. Yale has over 20 years of experience in marketing, strategic planning and information technology. Yale founded Intelligent Interactions Corporation in 1995, an Internet direct marketing technology company. He was the President and CEO until Intelligent Interactions was merged with 24/7 Media in 1998. After the merger, Yale served as Executive Vice President of Operations for 24/7 Media and was a member of the board of directors. Prior to founding Intelligent Interactions, Yale held several senior executive positions at Oracle Corporation. Most recently, he served as vice president of Oracle’s Emerging Technologies Group, where he was responsible for systems integration and implementation of Oracle’s interactive media technologies worldwide.

Prior to joining Oracle, Yale held senior positions at Price Waterhouse Coopers, and Booz?Allen & Hamilton Inc. and was appointed a Federal Reserve Examiner for the Federal Reserve System. He holds a Masters in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, both from the George Washington University.

Yale is the co-inventor of U.S. Patent No. 6,026,368, “An On-Line Interactive System and Method for Providing Content and Advertising Information to a Targeted Set of Viewers.”

IMS Ventures

IMS Ventures was originally founded in 1995 to assist forward looking companies in solving complex internet technology problems.

Our near-term goal for assisting our portfolio companies is to focus on the key elements for success: product development and marketing. We believe that IMS Ventures fills a void in the venture capital environment by taking an active part in the success of our portfolio companies.

Our investment criteria are fairly simple. We invest 0,000 to 0,000 (more in subsequent rounds) plus our time and expertise, in return for 5% to 20% equity (in the form of preferred stock) in portfolio companies who have:

At least two full-time executives who have put some of their own money into the company;
A product or service which can demonstrated (alpha or beta) and marketed in six to twelve months;
A business model that can reasonably demonstrate profitability in two to four years.

IMS Ventures invests in no more than 8 companies each year. In this way we can devote the time and attention that each company asks of us. IMS will invest in many different industry segments, but we prefer businesses that have a tangible product or service that can differentiate them and provide ongoing competitive advantage. We generally do not invest in Internet content companies.

: Web-based cognitive-assessment, reporting, task-matching, and remedial tools are powered by the most proven and quantifiable of the academic models of human multiple-intelligence research. It is also the first to have been computerized to meet large-scale use in schools and businesses.

The company developed “MindCue,” a proprietary and uniquely precise assessment instrument which measures 26 contrasting learning abilities, each distinct ability being assessed through one or more timed activities.

Netonomy

delivers dynamic self-service e-Care solutions to innovative telecommunications companies. These systems improve the customer experience of the telco at a lower operational cost.

MyTel.comTM, Netonomy’s self-service e-Care solution, uses the Internet to enable telcos to deliver enhanced services that are complementary to existing customer care systems and retail point-of-sale.
